This is the very first piece to be explored in the Drawing Series. To create it I used gesso on nickle with pencil and pen. Copper is used as an accent.
Gesso is a traditional drawing and painting primer, but is not as durable as I wanted and this concerned me. After two years of exploration, I developed the technique using industrial auto primers. While I am still perfecting the process, the results are what I desired from the start.
